Overview
We love Jesus, and we love students. So naturally we love introducing students to Jesus because we know that He loves them and has great things in store for their lives. That’s why our mission in DC Students is to make disciples of Jesus.
Sundays
Sunday Morning is a weekly worship gathering for Middle and High School students. We provide an engaging worship experience, fun games and competitions and teaching from the Bible that will affect the way they live every day. Our hope is that every student will experience God’s presence, hear and understand God’s Word and feel welcomed by God’s people. We also give students a chance to serve on Sunday Mornings in worship, tech, café, greeting and in our awesome Kids ministry.
Midweek
Midweek is a weekly gathering for Middle and High School students. During Midweek students will experience worship, games, fellowship and small group time. Midweek Groups are gender and grade specific where students receive discipleship through mentor relationships. Midweek provides an engaging worship experience for students in the middle of their school week. Students will find a safe environment to express thoughts and opinions about their faith while building relationships with their peers and adult leaders.
Serve
Serve is an opportunity for students to put their faith into action. We highly encourage every student to serve at Discovery on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights. Students can serve in many areas in the church including hospitality, DC Kids, Arts, and Students ministry. We also provide annual serve trips.
Events
Events are designed to provide fellowship in low stress and fun environments where students will want to bring their unsaved friends. Events include, but are not limited to seasonal parties, game nights, pool parties, retreats, summer camp and more. Check below for the most up to date information about our upcoming events.
