Overview
Called2Love offers support, conversation, prayer, and guidance for people who know or love someone that has declared themselves to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT).
It can be very confusing and challenging when someone finds out that a friend, family member, or co-worker is homosexual. Many times people feel lost and angry, wondering where to turn for answers. What do you say, how do you act, and what would Jesus do? Where do you go to find Godly counsel during this time? What do we believe the Bible to say about same-sex attractions?
Over the past ten years, our society has experienced a significant shift concerning the topic and reality of same-sex attractions. This change has created a need for a biblical response of truth and love. While we believe the Bible clearly teaches that marriage is defined as a holy union between one man and one woman, our society is tending to broaden this definition.
It was this need that led DC CARE to create Called2Love.
DC CARE unequivocally believes that we are called to love each other as we search for guidance and answers. That is why Called2Love desires to help Christians with four core issues.
Helping us to understand healthy biblical boundaries.
- To build a bridge between the LGBT person and the church, by helping Christians model Christ’s love and truth.
- To help families keep a healthy relationship with their LGBT loved one.
- To provide support, conversation, prayer, and guidance for families without rejection or judgment.
